Wow. Mutual aid from Inwood, Oceanside and East Rockaway! A 17 mile trip, at least half an hour in Saturday traffic to get there. In Over The Edges's photos, I saw apparatus or people from:

K2M's photos suggest that East Rockaway's Ladder 403 was first due. That, and the original comment about "standby companies" suggest that Roslyn's quarters had been backfilled while they were off somewhere. Makes more sense to me now.

Jefferson Avenue [6-18-22] - K-Mad
On the evening of Saturday, June 18th, 2022, the Bayville Fire Company hosted the 5th battalion parade – also a celebration of their one hundredth anniversary. Among the departments in attendance were the Roslyn Fire Companies who while out of service were being covered by Hicksville Engine 937...

Yesterday afternoon Ladder 403 relocated to Roslyn to provide standby coverage for the Roslyn Rescue while they attended the Bayville Fire Company No. 1, Inc. 100th Anniversary and 5th Battalion Parade.
Shortly after being in place, Ladder 403 and Hicksville Fire Department Engine 937 responded first due to a house fire on Jefferson Ave which was elevated to multiple alarms.
