Rundown of units at 9-11

Curious to know if any companies went to work at fires while what was ongoing at the WTC was continuing to happen. I don't remember where but I saw photos of either a Jersey or Upstate/Connecticut Dept working along side Bronx Companies.
It was either Little Ferry or Teterboro that was working in Bklyn, one of there Ladders couldn't go under the elevated. SQ270 caught a run before the recall to. Turned out to be a 10-92 (I don't think 10-92 applies to bomb threats but either way it was a false alarm).

Those rigs were mainly manned by recall members coming in to their respective stations after the main rigs had left. I don’t believe any were acting as spares. As for reserve ladders, I don’t believe any responded to the Trade Center that day, though I could be wrong.

Nice list. Only issue is that Rescue 3 had the only collapse unit in the city at the time, other collapse units were implemented after 9/11. Also, what was your source for these? I like the data.

Images and videos are my main source. Are you sure R3 is the only one with a collapse rig? I might be mistaking HazMat Division rigs for collapse rigs.

Alright I've confirmed the collapse units Im seeing are HazMat rigs I will correct it here and my map.

Back in the day each rescue had its own capability, at the time R3 was collaspe. R2/R4??orR1 was Dive. But all the rescues had Collapse units between 1988 and the present.

I have made a map of emergency vehicles on scene at the time of 9:59 AM and included a image of it. It is still W.I.P and probably only covers 40% of the units on scene, sources are all videos and images. If you notice anything wrong with the map let me know. (SOME IMAGES ARE STOCK IMAGES IF I COULDN'T GET A GOOD ANGLE OR TAKEN ON A DATE BEFORE 9/11)

The photo of Engine 65 is the wrong apparatus. This rig replaced E-65 for a brief period until they got their High Pressure Rig. This rig went to Engine 265.

That is fantastic work. Ive been working on something similar as a on/off project for a while now. Great to see

I’m curious how you know exactly where a vehicle was at such a specific time
