I want to set up a scanner I've had put away for several years. It covers the 800 band.

Could someone please give me the currently used FDNY freq, & PL tone freq.

Borocall, if you go on www.radioreference.com (in database) they have all the frequencies listed under NYC, including the Pls. But basically the FDNY is:

Manhattan - 482.10625
Bronx - 482.00625
Brooklyn - 482.01875
Queens - 482.03125
Staten Island - 482.04375
Citywide - 482.23125
Handie Talkie - 486.1125

I believe they are posted in the Communications section here as well.

I can tell you that I don't have the Pls in my scanner and whenever I'm in NYC I have no problem with other places interfering on these channels. I've also found the distance these channels reach is much less than the old high band 154.... channels. Sometimes I don't pick them up until I am just outside of NYC. On I-95 I have never been able to hear them past the New Rochelle tolls. When on the 154 I used to pick them up 50 miles away, using the same radio, same antenna.

Thanks much for the info & listing.  I'm in E. Queens so I should be able to pick up all OK.
