why pt pleasant fast???

there are about 10 towns between seaside heights and pt pleasant?????

 
I've often thought the same thing. Seaside Park is FAST for the Heights on the 1st Alarm. If the Park goes to work, Point goes in as the FAST. Straight run down Route 35. I'm sure Tom's River would be closer for a FAST, but I don't know what the 'situation' is.

Nice play on words. Definitely does not make sense. You can easily have Berkeley or Toms River truck on down from 37.... unless the bridge over the bay is up.
 
We used to have a member on here from Seaside. The unpredictable traffic on 37, especially during the summer, could be it. I was the multiple back in August on the Boulevard. East Dover was went M/A with an engine on a later alarm. Tom's River Co. 2 covered SHFD.
 
ocean beach is 3 miles away (part of toms river township) on the island  would think they would be fast............. is there a riff between the two municipalities?  is there any set mutual aid plan in that county?
 
Depends on if OB 3 has a FAST. They may also skip Stations to not drain entire sections of the peninsula. OB 3 (a Tom's River company), Brenton Woods (Brick Township) is next north and then Mantoloking and Bay Head before Point Pleasant.  Point Pleasant Beach sends an Engine from Sta. 42 and the Tower from Sta. 43 together as the FAST.

I'll have to reach out and get the answer.
