Description: Fire 1st floor of a 1.5-story frame P/D. M/A Surf City, Beach Haven, Stafford Township, Harvey Cedars

" This morning just before 8:00am, Surf City Firefighters responded mutual aid to Ship Bottom for a reported Structure Fire. Surf City Engine 4901 arrived on scene, 4960 established command, and immediately requested a 2nd alarm to be struck, bringing all Long Beach Island fire companies to the scene. The crew of 4901 began an aggressive interior attack along with the crew of Engi...ne 4621, who arrived shortly there after, and contained the fire to the first floor. Additional crews searched for potential victims and successfully rescued a pet dog, who was then treated by Beach Haven First Aid Squad with a pet oxygen mask, and transported to Stafford Veterinary Hospital. The rescued Labradoodle is reported to be in good condition. The fire is currently under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal's Office."
