Definitely a Snorkel!
Correction, a "Snorkel Squad".
Actually the unit itself is a Snorkel.  As used by Chicago they're called Snorkel Squad!

How many people actually know what the difference between these three pieces of equipment in the title of this thread are?

A squrt is  an articulating boom with a nozzle attached to the boom with no room for FF's,  a snorkel is an articulating boom with a basket/bucket attached with room for FF's, and a bucket truck belongs to CommEd By the way a TeleSqurt is a combo 55/75' ladder with a pre-piped waterway.

And by the way their official designation is "Squad 1, 2, or 5. During Chicago's busy years Snorkel Squad 1 @ 1044 N Orleans, they went everywhere. CFD was still running "Flying Squads" a manpower unit. Later disbanded into the Squads. Hope this helps!

I also believe all Snorkels or at least any one I've ever seen, also have pre piped water to the bucket.

Since Snorkels and Tele-squrts haven't been manufactured in years, I wonder how Chicago plans on replacing their squads. Will they be refurbishing the aerial booms?

I requested some info from J Regan who posts for FAJ. Specs have been issued for replacing the 3 2 peice Squad units but no bids have been received. My personnal thanx to Mr Regan for his input.
