The FD had extremely limited access to the property due to the way it was constructed. I was told the facility is about 1 million square feet. This was 4 alarms plus special calls above that.

Somers, Ct. had 4 alarms plus special calls above that on 3/7/25 at 19:37. The fire was a commercial Growers Direct company at 164 Hampden Rd. Many mutual aid companies from both Ct and Mass. responded to the scene.

Drones like you can buy today weren't even a thought on the horizon back in the day. I was standing next to the drone operator and they were comparing the drone video with a satellite view to see what burned/was burning to what was in that area. They were very concerned with a large propane tank that was next to a large diesel fuel tank
