The South Farmingdale Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on the night of Sunday, August 21st, 2022. The fire was in a deli – one of several businesses inside of a one-story taxpayer located on Northwest Drive off Merritts Road. Massapequa was designated the FAST and responded to the scene with Ladder 636. Firefighters stretched two hand lines, put one hand line into operation, and had the fire quickly knocked down before it could extend to any exposures.
