Sullivan County NY LODD 1/15/22

A Sullivan County (north of NYC) Firefighter died in the Line of Duty earlier today while operating at a fire at a bungalow colony in the Town of Thompson. Forestburgh Fire District Assistant Chief William "Billy" Steinberg passed away while operating at that 2nd alarm. The department was called in by the Monticello FD for mutual aid to a structure fire at 65 Rockridge Road. That's about 80 miles northwest of the George Washington bridge.
