When did E320 and L167 return from E274 and E306 respectively?

Never knew they went there

They moved on April 20, 2012 for at least a year.  I must have missed their return because they were back by 2014.  Judging by the other companies that were relocated at the time, mid 2013 seems likely for their return.

E97, E310, L174, BC15, BC20 and BC23 were also relocated around that time and the others returned at various times throughout 2013.

This Post started WAY after 2015 & never knew E22 had nightly relocation's

It's probably human nature to more easily notice when something is different (when a company temporarily leaves its regular quarters) than when things return to normal (when a company returns to their home).  You notice it when someone asks why a company missed a first due  (E23 at Trump Tower or E293 in Woodhaven).  The longer the temporary dislocation, the easier to forget.

It is certainly that way for me.  I have more notes about companies being relocated than notes about them coming back.  That's why I just noticed a 2015 event (E5 at E33) that needed following up.

I'm sure someone will know and inform the rest of us.  Thanks for keeping the Temporary Relocations thread current.

I believe the Capt of E 22 ended the relocations after they missed a 1st due job.

I think E5's move to E33 was full time, for renovations to their house.

E22/L13's was also being renovated.  To keep the house open, one company had to make space for the work.  L13 remained full time, switching sides as the renovation progressed.  E22 would be at the house, but outside, from 0700 to 2300, then move to E53 from 2300 to 0700.  This plan was to begin in September 2016 and was supposed to last a few months.  This may have only been a proposal as it was quite specific, however, I did not see any confirmation that it happened as planned.

Why was Engine 23 temporarily relocated to Ladder 25, beyond a closer adjacent company? (Engine 40/Ladder 35)

They are not even first due in their own area.

Engine 65 has hosted another Engine (E8) and is closer and adjacent.  (I believe E39 is still hosting E44 presently)

Probably has to do with not wanting To put a cage on the avenue or space in quarters for another 25 members.

And yes. 44 is still with 39.

43rd street between 5th and 6th avenues is a very busy street and is not wide at all. That could be part of the reason.

Ladder 8 will never be disbanded.  Too much money in Tribeca and Ladder 8 is essentially another mid town truck and they go up there relocated as soon as soon as anything comes in .
