Well E207 has the room E205 and E226 don’t207 isn’t exactly close either, as 226 and 205 are both essentially in between them and 224’s quarters.
Qtrs getting done?Effective 09:00 May 6th 2021
Engine Company 224 has temporary relocated to Engine Company 279 & Tower Ladder 131
I’m well aware.Well E207 has the room E205 and E226 don’t
Does anyone know why? That's a pretty far distance from their quarters.
Every neighborhood in the city is effected when they lose a Firehouse, even temporary. Bklyn Heights -Carrol Gardens is one of the most congested with narrow streets and heavy traffic congestion. E -202,205,207 and even 226 will be greatly delayed and expect response times to increase 2x.
The surrounding areas, including Downtown, Carrol Gardens and waterfront, has seen huge development in recent years. Another area where the city needs to reevaluate response times and population density. The loss of E204 will be continually felt and the temporary relocation of 224 should be considered with any relocation of any of those adjoining companies.
Why what?Does anyone know why?

99% a renovation of quarters... especially the apparatus floor.... some locations they can store the rig in a pen outdoors but i don't think this location would lend itself to that convenienceDoes anyone know why?
Ouch.... they should be out for awhile.99% a renovation of quarters... especially the apparatus floor.... some locations they can store the rig in a pen outdoors but i don't think this location would lend itself to that convenience
Indeed a very tight/congested area on Hicks Street. Like mentioned earlier BK HTS blocks are tight and narrow, they’re among the oldest in Brooklyn. Hence the need for L118 tiller.99% a renovation of quarters... especially the apparatus floor.... some locations they can store the rig in a pen outdoors but i don't think this location would lend itself to that convenience
