It's standard Seagrave, most of their new truck have that design. Here's some pictures of one that was recently delivered here to Louisville Kentucky, it also has a square grill: http://seagrave.com/recent-deliveries?id=rd-263-00-02-2016
ALL the newer ( 2013, 2014, ) FDNY Seagrave Pumpers, Squads, Towers, & Tillers have the SQUARE grills. The Louisville is not the Square style that duffinclan is referring to.... it`s like the 2008 - 2010 FDNY Seagraves. the newer FDNY that duffinclan is referring to have obviously pointed / square corners.
Nasibova. Thanks for the info. I put a picture of each up to show the difference. Do you know if Seagrave puts the square grill on anything but FDNY apparatus? If not, why does FDNY want this? Just curious?
If you download the custom chassis brochure from this page: https://www.seagrave.com/trucks/attacker-chassis you will see that the square cornered grill is one of three grill options they offer. I simply don't think it's the best looking one of the group but I'm guessing it's the cheapest one that's why it ended up on the engines for FDNY. Especially considering the looks of the grill to the fact how the unit operates.
