July 6, 2024 marks the 80th Anniversary of Connecticut's Worst Fire, which occurred on July 6, 1944.
That fire occurred in Hartford, Ct and took the lives of 168 people, with more than 700 people injured.
The fire occurred during an afternoon performance of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus attended by 6,000 - 8,000 people at the time.
One of Connecticut's local news channels recently interviewed one of the survivors who was just 10 years old at the time.
Here he tells his survival story.
