Units dispatched to the area of Pancoast Street & Bellman Street fire a bird stuck in a tree. Command on scene requesting another Truck.

These folks must have relatives in Texas.

I'm guessing it was five to ten years ago about fifty miles northeast of Houston. This guy's exotic pet bird gets loose and flies into nearby woods where it lands way up in some tall tree. The dope, frantic about his stupid bird, climbs up the tree to "rescue" it. Then he realizes he can't get down.

The vollies can't get an aerial out into the woods. Hours later, Houston sends Rescue 42 with an engine company and a chief out there to perform a high angle grab. I wonder if they took the chainsaw off the rig?

AI finally found this...It was 2007 in Porter, Texas and 42's had to get a Coast Guard helicopter to complete the job. I forgot that.
