TURKEY, SYRIA, INDIA EARTHQUAKE 4000 DEAD 2/6/2023

BBC News now reporting upwards of 2,000 fatalities with the number still climbing. Strong aftershocks continue to frustrate and delay rescue efforts. Looks like a real disaster over there.

ABC News also reported Virginia’s TF 1 has been called up as well. I’m sure FDNY will get the call.

VA-TF1 (Fairfax County) and CA-TF2 ( LA County) are the two FEMA US&R Task Forces that work with the United States Agency for International Development’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance to provide international response to natural and man-made disasters. They become USA-1 and USA-2 respectively on deployment

They both have deployed a bunch internationally

The London Fire Brigade =L.F.B. and other U.K. Emergency Services designed a system for Collapse Rescue during the "WWII Blitz" that is the basis for most Collapse Procedures. The 1st priority is the removal of Surface Causalities, so those victims are removed before any secondary collapse.
Followed shortly or concurrently with the stabilization of the utilities, electrical, water, gas and, as possible the building itself, in order to prevent further danger to those trapped. The "Golden Day" = the first 24 hours after the collapse is when most people are found alive.
