The Randolph District FD of Cumberland County, Va. responded to a fire in the piney woods across the street from 76 North Airport Rd. at 1635 hours. After hard work by 9 members the fire was brought under control and units returned to quarters at 1809 hours. Then there was a motor vehicle accident involving a car and a farm tractor, no injuries. At 2325 hours the Randolph District again returned to North Airport Rd. finding a 2 story frame pre civil war home fully involved across the street from the earlier brush fire. Units took up after 0330 hrs. Fire Marshall is investigating these fires.
