The first fire was located at 122 Locust Grove in Cumberland County at 1501 hours involving a living room in a single story residence. Cumberland FD, Cartersville FD and Powhatan Co. 5 responded. The second fire was located over in Buckingham County at 4754 Plank Rd. This was a 2 story farm house fully involved. Dillwyn FD was first due and 2nd due Toga FD was diverted to an MVA on Francisco Rd. They requested mutual aid from Cumberland FD and Randolph District FD. The farm house was totally destroyed. Arvonia FD also responded. That fire occurred at 1729 hours.
