Regarding the upcoming winter storm will NYC EMS go into Def-Con mode? 24 on, nothing off, 15 to 1 relief and other catastrophic requirements. Just being facetious, but, that's always how it seemed. lol

they can plan all they want.......it is a weekend.....you have an unmotivated and underpaid workforce......EMS sick leave skyrocketsevery weekend......but if we see it on a buff group it must and will happen

Or just put more ambulances on the street. I believe the new commissioner knows, and is working on this. She knows the issues. The RRV’s are a waste.

I was told that there were 475 EMS personnel who called on sick during the length of the storm. I have no way of confirming such, but, if so, that really shoots down their striving for pay increases, better working conditions, etc. They shot the whole service right in the ... with that move. Coreect me if i'm mistaken about this number.
