Incident Location: 7 Ronson Ln, dead end off Home St.
At approximately 1:08 A.M of Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, the Valley Stream Fire Department along with an automatic mutual aid ladder 708 from Elmont were dispatched to a report of smoke in the house on Ronson Lane in the dead end off Home Street. Those first to arrive on scene were met with smoke showing and upon further investigation found fire in the basement of a 1.5-story peaked roof private dwelling. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and additional mutual aid requested. One hand line was put into operation off Valley Stream Engine 342. The fire was quickly extinguished before it could extend further and the additional mutuals were canceled. All occupants made it safely out of the residence and there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation and Valley Stream Chief of Department Capone [3400] had command of the incident.
