Incident Location: 10 Molyneaux Road

On the afternoon of Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, the Valley Stream Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on Molyneaux Road off Salem Road. Firefighters stretched three hand lines and put two hand lines into operation for a fire at the rear of a two-story private dwelling. The fire was quickly extinguished before it could extend further, and its cause is under investigation. There were no reported injuries, and all fire department units were under the command of Valley Stream Chief of Department Scanlon [3400]. (Text Credit: K2M Photo)

From VSFD: Just before 1pm, the Valley Stream Volunteer Fire Department was alerted for a house fire on Molyneaux Road. Upon arrival of Chief Scanlon, a fire was located in the rear of the home that quickly extended into the first floor. A signal 10 ( working fire ) was transmitted, bringing mutual aid from surrounding departments. Three hose lines were quickly stretched and two were put into operation. Engine 344 and Ladder 345 were first due. Chief of Department Scanlon was in charge of all operations and the fire is under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office.
