Vancouver FD rejects electric vehicles option.

According to the current issue of Fire Apparatus Journal the Vancouver FD has rejected the electric vehicle option as unsuitable when considering the purchase of 14 apparatus. Reasons given were they were deemed unsuitable for reliable emergency needs, they did not meet minimum specs for water pumping capacity at fires and costs were significantly higher.
