Incident Location: 263 Sheridan Street
On the evening of Saturday, September 7th, 2024, the Westbury Fire Department operated on the scene of a working fire on Sheridan Street off Roman Avenue. Hicksville was designated the FAST and responded to the scene with Ladder 931. Firefighters put two hand lines into operation for a well involved, detached garage fire. There were no exposure issues; however, the fire caused cosmetic damage to the two and a half story private dwelling that it belonged to. Two firefighters sustained minor injuries while operating. Hazmat was requested to the scene for propane tanks involved in the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of Westbury Assistant Chief Stewart. (Text Credit K2M)
