As stated, this will replace a 2006 KME, which is the last of the triplets, bought by a previous mayor. The 2006 KME is currently operating as Engine 3 out of the South Station. The current Engine 1, a 2016 Rosenbauer, will become Engine 3 and will be the oldest of the front line fleet. Unknown if the 2006 KME will become Reserve Engine 6 or be put out to pasture.

This newcomer completes a total replacement of all front line pieces over the last 8 years. Front line fleet is as follows:

Engine 1 - 2024 Pierce Enforcer 1500/750
Engine 2 - 2020 - Pierce Saber 1500/500
Engine 3 - 2016 Rosenbauer 1500/750
Truck 6 - 2020 Pierce Enforcer Ascendant 107' TDA
Command F6 - 2023 Ford F-150
Chief F11 - 2023 Ford Explorer
Medic-3A - 2023 Ford F-550/Braun Chief XL
Medic-5A - 2023 Ford F-550/Braun Chief XL
