Tuesday Rain and Snow becoming all snow between 5am and 7am.
The snow can be heavy at times. High near 37 wind chill values between 20 & 30
Breezy with a north east wind 17-23mph becoming north west in the afternoon.
Winds can gust as high as 34mph.
Chance of Precipitation is 100%

New Snow Accumulation 4-8inches "Possible"

Tuesday Night mostly clear with a low around around 30
Wind chill value between 20 and 25 north west wind 10-13mph

Further. Mr. Robb stated;

"If natural gas service had been disrupted, Consolidated Edison would have lost its' entire system to seven million customers, possibly taking months to restore."

I'm sure this problem has gotten a vigorous response by New York government leaders.

Winter Storm Lorraine starts tonight around midnight with rain before switching over into Snow between 4-6am. Heavy Snow, High Winds, Low visibility for the morning commute.

Northern Manhattan & Bronx will see 6-10inches
Lower Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn 4-6inches
Staten Island Parts of Rockaways & Coney Island 2-4inches

Flood Watch for City Island, Rockaways, Coney Island, Broad Channel.

buncha sissies in this town. never thought id be saying this, but in the 90s when i was in high school, this wouldnt be even a "Bring the tv into the classroom" day but people were flipping out like its the Empire Strikes Back outside.
 
Here in NJ, its a Noreaster. Schools we're closed Yesterday in Irvington (even though they already had a half day). Saw someone bust there transmission while trying to get out of a snow bank.
