Yonkers , NY Apparatus MVA 5/10/13

Battalion 2 involved in an mva on Yonkers Ave between Central and Kimball avenue while returning from a separate mva on Central Park Ave and Yonkers Ave. Engine 307 and Ladder 73 responded to Battalion 2's location along with Car 6(Arson) , Battalion 1 , YPD , Empress Ems. The chief suffered minor whiplash , The aide and the chief were taken to the hospital to get checked out. Man down in the street , vehicle was a run away car , battalion 2 stopped it from hitting other cars and was rear ended.

Same thing happened about 13-years ago up in Stew Leanords lot. Runaway car was stopped with our then new Rescue apparatus, sustaining its first dings....Heads up move by the Chauffeur that day too too.
