Yonkers, NY- Plane Crash in The River 01-27-13

1723hrs- Multiple calls for a low flying plane that crashed into the Hudson River, 1/4-mile south of Greystone Station.
Assignment: YPD ESU Truck 2, Truck 4, 850 (Heavy Rescue); YFD E-308, 309, 310, 303; R-1; B-1
1726hrs- R/C 404 rpts confirmed plane down in the river, just south of the JFK Marina.
1727hrs- R/C 404 rpts appears (2) people in the water holding onto the plane and drifting south. Plane appears to be sinking, only tail is visible.
1728hrs- ESU req. notify NYPD for Harbor and Aviation. Westchester County PD advising from a relay that pilot radioed that there are (2) occupants and both have life jackets on and were exiting plane. E-308 at Marina, E-303 responding to City Pier.
1730hrs- S/C B-2 as Safety and Sq-11 to scene. NYPD, FDNY and USCG notified. Westchester 60 Control notified and calling for M/A boats.
1735hrs- ESU Truck 4 rpts victims are floating approx. (150) yards from shore, off former movie studio. PD req. power off Metro North tracks. Off duty Sgt. advises officers are responding to Hudson River Pilot launch at the Police Marine Unit dock. ESU and Empress to respond also.
1739hrs- 60 Control advising Rockland County Sheriffs and Piermont FD boats responding from Rockland.
1741hrs- Units continue to have visual, victims now off Excelsior Bag Co., north end of Alexander St.
1743hrs- ESU Truck 2 with off duty ESU officers on Hudson River Pilot launch and northbound on river. ESU, YFD Rescue 1 and Empress standing by at the dock.
1745hrs- NYSP Aviation enroute.
1746hrs- Units on Pilot launch have both victims onboard, returning to dock. NYPD Aviation on scene. E-310, Sq-11 redirected to Alexander St.
1756hrs- Irvington FD dive team responding. Confirming number of occupants with pilot.
1759hrs- Victims packaged and being transported to Jacobi. Aircraft has sunk. FDNY, NYPD, USCG and Piermont searching the water off the old power station.
1850hrs- Command post set up at the south end of JFK Marina.
