There was a proposed experiment in the late 70's-early 80's that never got off the ground that would've had a couple of Quints assigned to outlying companies. I remember reading that E164/L84 and E70 on City Island were among the targeted companies but it never happened. This was not the CFC program. If I get the time I'll dig through my personal "Collyer's Mansion" and see if something surfaces.  ::)
I remember that too G-man. I think there were about Ten companies that they wanted to combine and use one quint instead of the seperate Engine and Ladder Co.

And I agree with you Engine 44 was to be closed and instead it was converted to a Haztech Engine. I can just about guarantee you this, any of the upcoming closings, none will be first due at any City Council members house.

Well if G-man rule is in effect, some of those politicians might be in a little trouble. Then we'll see how fast those companies are put back into service, if they ever go through with this fiasco.
