    Cincinnati Apparatus Photos

There used to be a restaurant at the crown of the hill called “The Mellow Lemon” if I recall correctly. Doubtful it is still there?

What happened to FDNY Fireboat Kevin C. Kane (dated 03 Jan 2017)

Thank you for enlightening me. Spent some great time in Wisconsin ... serious brats, cheddar, and beer, not to mention the corn... but not aware of door county .

I actually remember those patrol cars, 1940s Plymouth. Replaced by 1950s Ford models.

Bruckner, XBX Expwy, Deegan...piece of cake...unless there's traffic. L50 might not be there yet!

FDNY and NYC Firehouses and Fire Companies - 2nd Section

I believe R2s Mack bulldog rig eventually wound up in Rescue 3 when it was located with engine 71 and the 7th Division on Park Avenue in The Bronx. In those days the 7th division covered the entire borough, commanded by Deputy Chief Hugh Halligan, who happened to be my father's "rabbi"...

4/22/22 Bronx All Hands Box 2988

The lost housing stock of the Bronx. Probably built in the 1920s. A 5 storey walkup, parkway floors, tiled bathrooms, ...genuine craftsmanship. A shame so many were obliterated to the ravages of rent control.

    4/15/22 Bronx 10-75 Box 3334

Correct Ed. Oops, wrong address. 2/12/20 was at 2567 Decatur. 2537 Decatur was a 2d Alarm on 5/3/18 when L56 (I believe) made the great grab of a woman out 4th Floor window.

    4/15/22 Bronx 10-75 Box 3334

Box 3370, Webster and Fordham Rd., is literally steps away, like 10 yards. Box 3334 is at 193d and Decatur, a looong block north. L38 gets in to 3370 2d due, ahead of L37, but because the Box transmitted was 3334 they are assigned as FAST. That means the truck closer to the fire building (L38)...

Why would you need a fire escape on the ground floor...you're already on the ground?

    4/8/22 Bronx 10-75 Box 2724

Nope. You fall 5 floors and then you hit the ground.

3/7/22 Bronx All Hands Box 3151

Prior to the War Years, in their former quarters, L27 was 2d due at this box. With Engines 42, 43, 45, and 48 all single companies back then, L27 roamed 2d due from the Harlem to the Bronx Rivers. And 96/36 never crossed the 207th St Bridge to the Bronx...Marble Hill (Manhattan) yes, the Bronx ,no.
