Helmet has holes drilled for Eye Shields & has several holes in the front panels as it may have had different Fronts at one time....inside has some white paint writing as older FDNY Helmets did.....good possibility it was FDNY...

^^^ In my years never trained with the USCG or NYPD on water incidents.......knew some NYPD Divers from being on the same jobs....never had much interaction with the USCG in NY.....most USCG interaction with FDNY would generally be with the Marine DV Units.

I remember years ago Mack Pumpers having some pre connected 1 3/4 in a small transverse bed mid Pumper ....some Units had four lengths some had six lengths....not all Units used it ......after awhile some Units just used that bed to store 5 gallon Foam concentrate cans or Rolled Ups or a length...
I went to proby school in 1968 on Welfare Island (now Roosevelt Island).....there were several bldgs there that the FDNY used....the Mask Service Unit was in one bldg used for Mask Repairs & they also had a CD Pumper that two FFs from MSU would use to Respond to any Class 3 Alarms in the two...
4 GALLON STIRRUP PUMP......On hand for Incendiary Fires (if bombings had occurred ) in NY during WW2.....after the War people started to discard these...great for us kids to play with back then.....in 206s old FH there was a whole floor full of these on the unused Truck side ...
