The Boxes we lost were some working Boxes however at the time we thought the Boxes we would pick up on the Southside would make up for them but that did not equal out .....also it seemed at the time that the Firestorm might be moving toward Greenpoint (which was loaded with Wood Frames) however...
Farthest 2nd Due on Sumner (now Marcus Garvey Blvd) was to Putnam, Box 904......traffic on Lewis flowed against us so not as far on Lewis as Sumner ...also back then 176 had not been organized & 112 was still on Madison St. & 123 was still on Ralph & Bergen.
The Response Route to 776 from the old 108 FH on Siegel St bet Humboldt & Graham avoided the more obvious but traffic filled Graham Av from Siegel St to Broadway.....(that strip along Graham was a busy shopping area)....the Route was RT out of Qtrs ...LFT onto Humboldt St (several lanes wide due...

776 Box ..Reid Ave (now Malcom X Blvd) & Broadway used to be the last 108 1st Due Box on Broadway when we were on Siegel St.....also back then 218 was 1st Due ENG at 776.....also back then the Truckless Triangle did not really exist as we got to many of those Boxes before the 1st ENG or right...
