Several FDNY & NYPD Rigs had the Tomcat logo on Rigs ....I don't think any really used it as "their" logo ....I think they just slapped one on if they came across one ?......I don't have my copy of FIRE by Steve Scher...

The Exhaust Whistle aka Buckeye was used on FDNY Rigs basically until Air Brakes became standard on FDNY Rigs then the Buckeye was replaced with the Air Horn.

Certainly was the Best Of Times.....I always enjoyed working as an R*2 FF down the block & then as a LT covering in both the Tinhouse & in the New House & with the Companies as a 332 LT in the same BN ......some great FFs & Officers in the Companies.
