Myself and a friend on the job from Mass signed up, we didn’t see anything precluding us form the class and we obviously registered with our info being from Ma.

I believe it was mentioned the single source trucks had to do with front line companies, or for a lack of better terms the engines, ladders, rescues, squads etc.

This info is coming 2nd hand to me but I believe the Steam Ship Authority just puts the trucks on the next available.

The “slow boat” ferry tbat would take trucks to the island takes around 90 mins. The “fast ferry takes about 45 mins.

Work in central Mass, small job, 4 groups of 5, minimum of 4. We staff 2 ALS ambulances, it’s a rotation, ambulance, engine, ambulance, engine and on and on. If we transport to Worcester, about 25 mins away we back attempt to backfill to 4. We don’t have a dedicated engine company.

Yes, all 33 engines are E-Ones, with 6 more of that spec coming soon all will almost identical. With ladder 16’s above E-One entering service all 20 aerials will be the exact same, with 2 twin E-One Towers. Twin E-One Rescues as well.

Does the FDNY still put an N I think on the 95’s shop #?

Just saw a video of Rescue 1, on Instagram by “ffnj1” the truck appears to be in a shop, it’s on the drivers side but as they get to the rear of the truck it looks to have chevrons.

I’m surprised the city hasn’t told them to rebuild it or something along those lines, the rescue is a 2019 correct? 3 years later and it’s still not in service. I understand how complex a rescue is, but think of all the 2020 & 2021 engines and towers already in service.

Absolutely prop 2 1/2 was devastating to BFD, how many busy companies closed, whole houses closed down, many double engine houses reduced to engine and ladder.

I think the best way to put it in perspective is with 33 engines, 22 ladders, 2 rescues, 11 districts and 2 divisions it’s comparable to the Bronx.

Maybe someone has already answered this but I didnt see it, why are the engine coming through with the diamond plate on the bottom of the cabs, but not the towers? Is it because of the swivels and plumbing on the engines?

Not FDNY but my job just got a new engine, that’s why there is factory final and dealserhip inspection, make sure everything is done right, im also sure there is more than enough road debris and such from WI to NYC or the NJ dealership to cause issues.

I’m unsure, this is just repeated, I want to say I read It from a reliable source, I do know and just verified E-Ones parent company purchased Salisbury fire trucks in 1998. Only on a technicality the 2002’s were single source?
