I know that place well I worked in the building many times. There used to be alot of businesses in there. There's a phone room behind E241 near where the bucket is. Funny thing is I repaired the phone in that big trailer years ago. The building itself is pretty beat up.

A number of those buildings have iron shutters on the windows, which made outside venting difficult & with a smoke condition hard to locate a fire & vent from inside.
Correct about those steel shutters! When I was in 131 we had quite a few incidents in all those buildings, similar buildings in Red Hook. Tough venting inside and out, old rusted and locked. Usually had a steel bar inside across windows with locks! Many had stock, debris pilled against them! Always a horror show.
This area is ripe for redevelopment, great views of harbor. Much like Williamsburg, LI City, Red Hook. These building are fireproof, large and vacant!
