I haven't confirmed yet that E-48 was indeed on the 2nd Alarm, it sounded like many of the closer engines were on other runs at the time (71, 46, 92, 88, 64) took a guess on 48 (other possibilities are 60, 97 or 89)
After listening to the audio, I'm thinking that it could have been an acting engine assigned while responding to relocation of the first alarm units.
