10-76 vs 10-77... Why does a MD get a VSU on a 10-77 but a commercial not get assigned a VSU?
 
In Manhattan the VSU are typically the highrise units. I’m not sure what the street cutoff is, but I’d say most jobs below 125th street are given to HR 1&2
 
In addition to their response areas, HR units are also assigned to other boroughs in the case when a 10-77/10-76 becomes a 2nd Alarm, in addition to the VSU unit already assigned on the initial 10-77/10-76.
