I always wondered how the Cars, especially the Borough Commanders coordinate amongst themselves on these type of assignments. Noticed Car-9 (Queens Borough Commander) was 10-84 as opposed to Car-6 (Manhattan Borough Commander), Do they internally share their "on-call" schedules and then setup their own response zones to cover for each other?

The 10-60 assignment is such overkill. But if you have the resources, use them!

I can think of a few incidents where the 10-60 response wasn't at all overkill. The AA crash in Jamaica, the gas explosion and collapse in the East Village, which I think was a 10-60 7th Alarm if I'm remembering right, the similar incident at 116 and Park Av, and obviously the attack on 9/11. It's harder to think of 10-60s that were overkill, but maybe that's just because those incidents weren't as memorable. But yeah, if you have the resources, send 'em. Better to turn around units you end up not needing than to lose precious minutes waiting for more when a situation escalates.

3rd tallest building in the city. Surrounded by high density residences. No way of knowing if the whole thing was going to come down, so get them rolling!

God forbid that happened. I am guessing we would see a 9/11 sized response?

FC per Car-4A all searches from 53-59 st all complete and negative. No debris on the roof tops of 59 St

This is amazing. Did they really search every roof from 53rd street to 59th street?

Sounds like it. Explains the need for all the s/c truck companies.

The 3rd Alarm in the Bronx was going on at the same time as this. The post on that job says L-127 relocated to L-144. Were they acting 144 when they were sent to Manhattan or was that after? Or was there a fat finger and L-27 went to the 10-60?

Gotcha, Thanks. I didn't realize the job from last night was added on to the 10/29 post and not a separate one.
