With FDNY's 5 year bumper to bumper warranty. All suppliers of the parts must honor the 5 years, example Waterous pump 5 year, Elkhart Brass valves 5 year and so on.

Manufacturer's will routinely bid on specs even if they can't knowingly meet them completely. Let's say Pierce submitted a bid but limited the warranty to 2 years and couldn't build a stainless-steel cab, the FDNY could still decide to accept their bid with the exceptions outlined in their submission.

If no one submits a bid, I would assume the FDNY could rewrite the specs and put it out again.

Well I would think when any manufacturer quotes a price they will build in any future potential warranty costs
