Anybody remember a gas explosion & Fire at Rosedale & 174 back around 1972 or 1973 about 2100 hrs...a 2 sty flat roof dwelling had a gas leak & subsequent explosion & Fire ..... the explosion bowed out the side of the house into the alleyway ?...... the exposure 4 similar was a FFs house.

Shocking! Not!!
have cars driving down the sidewalk at jobs, let alone scooters, bikes, people and their dogs, etc…
Scooters criss crossing the streets and zooming up and down the sidewalks all over the city. All day everyday.

I remember a job on Jefferson Ave. in Bushwick years ago. There was one line stretched and the company was making a push
on reports of residents trapped. I was the chauffeur and was busy getting additional lines into operation when a car, which was parked
well closer than the legal 15 feet from the hydrant drove off, and in the process, ripped the line off the discharge. One resident was burned to death.
