The amount of people each company has served has also sky rocketed. At its peak in 1897/98, the BFD had 56 Engines, 25 Ladders and 14 District Engineers (aka Battalions), this equated to roughly 17,857, 38,461, and 71,428 People per each type respectively. This number (I Believe?) was also supposed to increase by a handful of extra companies.

Today Brooklyn has 53 Engines (Including Squads), 40 Ladders (Including RS02) and 16 Battalions, which is roughly 42,000, 66,150, and 165,375 People per each company type respectively.

For engines this is a ~135% Increase, for trucks a ~72% Increase and for Battalions a ~131% Increase.
