On a top floor/cockloft fire like this, how far down the building will there be water damage? How long does it usually take to get everyone reestablished back in the building?
I thought Chicago still goes above the 5-11?Think of it how Chicago does it. All their alarms are “5-11 with 2 special’s” for example

In this case it is the Rac(rehab) managerQuestion. I know there's probably more then 1 unit with a RM designation. So when we see RM request a RAC like in an earlier post, is that Resource Management(er) or the Rescue Medics?
Along the same lines I see RM listed with other specialized units like CTU for different emergencies. Is that a Rescue Medic designation or a Resource Manager?
40 years ago, the amount of units for this operation would be considered obsceneAs of now there are 29 engines, 21 trucks and 14 BC's on scene.....to many special units and staff to mention or care about

Between the water/mold & smoke damage most of the involved wing will be severely damaged. The problem is repairs usually get held up by the insurance companies until a cause is determined by both the FD and the insurance company's own investigators. Most likely all the way down roughly in a line from where the water is being applied. It seems that the old strategy and tactics that were written, improved upon and successfully implemented in the past are being suspended too early on in favor of going with T/Ls in an exterior operation. That was considered going to the Hail Mary play.
