2nd Mayday was from L-82 Can Man

Bn-32 act. 23 s/c for relief purposes @00:30.

Some transmissions on SI frequency about an ETA for a helicopter, couldn't copy exactly, assuming it's a transport for a member.

Prayers for a full recovery..... http://www.silive.com/news/index.ssf/2016/02/fdny_probie_seriously_burned_a.html#incart_2box_silive-homepage-featured

Nice job on the rundown done by all. Prayers to the injured FFs for a speedy recovery. Job turned for the worst very quick, listening to the audio is chilling.

I took a ride over and snapped some pics:

Far from Midwood:

TL85 would go on the 2nd alarm, they're the next up truck to respond into the south shore after 82

CR 2

Pics are now from SILIVE:

COD stating they were very lucky in regarding the injuries to L082 probie

Crazy to see this many companies from a distance at this box. House is atleast 40 mins from the VN bridge, it's down there. Also, must have been a real heavy fire load for the basement to be goin along with the first floor -out the windows. Basement must be huge

I wasnt there so i dont wanna play monday morning qb. But i did listen to the audio, . Im not to happy how the maydays where handled and why wasnt a 10-66 transmitted earlier?

And if I may ask:

What is your background and how many Maydays have you been the Incident Commander for?

I sure hope that the member will be okay.

An interesting point here is with all the previous talk about a Squad for Staten Island. In this case, according to mapquest, it was a 26 mile ride for the first due Squad 1 from Brooklyn. Even at a steady 60 mph (and we know that's not quite possible), that is a minimum of 26 minutes.
