Looks like there was a manhole box out in the area just prior to this job, that's where Squad 270 was tied up.

D-13 gave a 10-84 to that box a min. before QD gave out this box, then 143 gave the 10-75, D-13 advised QD that conditions are improving over there & he's taking in this fire.

.
I was thinking of Da Bronx is burning 60's/70's

I had the honors of buffing at 319 in Queens from 1959 to 2019.
I was a Aux Capt also there. We started interchanged with 332 in ENY from 1970 to 1980. I got to know Capt. Dick Keenan 332 and the rest of his officers and FFs thru the interchange and had a open invitation to ride with them anytime while there original quarters was on Liberty Av.
( 225s old quarters ). So between riding every third night with 319 and then 332 on our Non-interchange nights and daytours ect. I was most honored to meet and no the guys from 332...290...103...103-2...SQ 4...E 232 ( BMA )...225-2...TCU 531...BN 29 ect.
I will never forget those days and being them to my final day on earth...
