E329 to QNS “Urgent”: 10-75 Box 8300, fire in the basement of a PD.

TL121 FAST, TL159, E323, E309, L169 on the QNS frequency responding

BC47: Start out an extra engine and truck (E323, L169)

L137: The fire was KD by vollies before our arrival, we’re checking for extension. Let the battalion know.

BC47: (1) 10-45 code to follow. Using AH. 1LSO. MBFKD.

BC47: PWH. Turn around special units.

BC47: Secondaries are negative. 10-45 is a code 4.

BC47: Under control. Division 13 is 10-8.

173 then 329 - in the same week? fires are shifting!!
 
Nothing to do with the vollies! Just that 329 isn't the busiest company around - so when there is a job you would think it would be good form them to get it
 
Breezy Point VFD, their firehouse is a couple blocks away from this fire on Point Breeze Ave.

How does E329’s ATRV response work? Do they take it to Breezy runs and do they stretch off that or E329? Looks like in the pic they stretched off the ATRV.
 
Map from NYCFIREWIRE app, always amazed at how long the runs are for companies into breezy. Notice E268/L137, straight run into the box but that’s quite a distance.

An interesting area where the two divisions that have companies the furthest from each other in maybe the city (151/76 and 314) actually are on the same ticket!

Was sent to Breezy after Hurricane Sandy for a night tour and there were a couple jobs that night in Far Rock - thought we’d be on the ticket but not even close!
