Ch 7, Eyewitness news is reporting 1 minor injury - they are also reporting it as a manhole explosion, with aerial shots!  Must be a slow news day :-)

I cant believe the banner of the story on ABC World News - "MANHATTAN EXPLOSION".  Since when does a transformer and or manhole explosion
make the world news.
 
I'm not sure what the correct assignment to this box is, but this box was out several times before and it seemed like E-4 made it in first usually.

E-4 has a 0.5 mile drive vs. 0.7 mile for E-10 & E-6. they may sound closer geographically but the way the streets are running may be in favor of E-4.
 
E-10 makes a right out the fire house and goes 3 blocks

E-4 makes a left goes 4 blocks to maiden Ln then 6 blocks to Nassau & Liberty

I would imagine that due to Incident Location; (not Too Far from WTC), this story generated some interest...

On News Clip - an Office Worker on the 20th Fl of Bldg. next to Transformer Vault Explosion, heard explosion,
felt Bldg, shake and thought Oh No .. Is this Terrorism ?
