I guess they are positioning them in areas of high need so in reality if 2 are responding on the 1st alarm there they larger possibility that they will both be needed compared to many other portions of the city. It seems like we're replacing more and more the 75' units with easy 95's except where limited by the capacity of the stations to hold them!

TL23 for sure can’t hold a 95 footer… they can’t even make the turn out of the firehouse now without backing up

When L-153 had a 95 foot TL they ran in first and second due on some boxes with 95 foot L-172.

Yes but the additional 20' of height is also a great benefit in many areas for many types of fires. Just like everything else you have to take the good with the bad and there are trade-offs in every case! Personally, in most situations I would deftly rather have the additional height!

Its not only about being capable of making a turn out of quarters….the apparatus floor may not be able to support the additional weight of a 95’.

That's certainly true in some cases however as far as TL23 goes obviously weight isn't an issue because 44 states in quarters when relocating at that station.
