You losers should really be getting collared for the stuff you guys pull. You dress up in FDNY work duties and walk all over the fire scene. You are literally standing and filming 6 feet away from the hose line. Glass is falling on top of you. YOU GUYS ARE NOT ON THE JOB. You do not belong walking up in the middle of these firefighters working. Or walking up to the command post. You want to film that’s fine. Stand at a distance. Just because you wear FDNY uniforms doesn’t mean you are on the job. NYPD should be collaring you idiots.

? Who died and made you the purveyor of what's right and wrong? If these people that you call "losers" were really causing any disruption of FDNY operations I'm sure the FDNY command structure would have them taken care of quite quickly. As it is may provide great insight to FDNY operations for those of us outside of New York City.

I believe they where on another box because they came available and they said Manhattan we going in as a engine or truck? And Manhattan said 3rd or 4th Due Engine and then Manhattan called Div 1 and said they are going in as squad

It's strange about the videos. On the one hand, many believe they are getting too close and possibly hindering operations and putting themselves in danger... which are valid points. On the other hand, we all watch the videos and if we didn't, how would we know to complain? Also there is a teaching/training aspect to the videos, as I have learned a lot. It is great PR for the FDNY for nothing. But safety can't be compromised either, so it's a no win situation. Like many things in life, I don't think anything will come of it until it does become a real problem at an incident.

This may be a crazy idea, but I'm surprised the training division doesn't have one firefighter assigned per shift as a video guy to respond Citywide to create useful training videos... problem solved!

The department does have members assigned for such tasks, but the city is large and they also have other duties i.e. events, promotions, training, etc.

Painting with a broad brush since you called everyone here a loser? I agree that if you are not on the job or on official capacity then stay out of the way however wouldn't that be the responsibility of the IC or at minimum the aide or even the Safety Batt to move the line back, so to speak? Before you say it, I have commanded a fire scene and it is a pain in the ass to have people in the way but in the videos I have seen I detect more acknowledgement than disgust. Just my humble opinion.

Just because I'm in Kentucky now doesn't mean that where I've always been. I've been there done that in NYC and several other places across the nation. Don't kick somebody in the butt unless you know what they have done and what they are doing. Many of the people you are criticizing provide a great service to not only viewers on YouTube but in many cases to members of FDNY. If the higher ups and command of FDNY didn't like what these people are doing on here they would resolve the situation quite easily.
