R-2 seems to get a tremendous amount of “normally assigned” work the move seems to have worked out quite well for them.

It’s no accident that the new quarters is smack dab in the middle of (historically and presently) the two busiest single engines in Brooklyn, if not the entire city—227 & 283. Not to mention they are now even closer to major roads going both north-south and east-west (Kings highway & eastern pkwy). That location was well thought out and very strategically chosen. Ruvolo certainly did his homework.
