6/17/22 Queens 5th Alarm Box 6068

“{ FDNY BOX 6068 ~ QUEENS }”…..”{ SHORT LIMITED AUDIO RECORDING OF FDNY BOX 6068 TRANSMISSIONS EARLY ON, FOR A 5TH ALARM WHICH WE STARTED OUT TO, BUT COULD NOT MAKE IT DUE TO THE VERY HEAVY VOLUME OF TRAFFIC EVERYWHERE ON THE STREETS OF NEW YORK CITY TODAY }”…..

(2) 10-45 code 1's from the basement of the original fire building just transmitted.

Under Control was not announced over the air, however, I see that FDNYalerts on Twitter posted the "Under Control" at 16:44

FC send the closest truck that hasn’t already operated to replace L-155

L-136 replacing 155. (yet they already operated)

When was air recon discontinued? Is the TSU drone serving as a better eye-in-the-sky? Certainly a faster response.

TSU does not run the drone. Command tactical does. It’s a lot cheaper to send the drone then air recon that’s for sure.

Looking at the picture from the rear of the fire building they did a great job keeping it from really getting out of hand. The wind was over 20mph today. This really could have been a much worse situation, the FDNY does its best work in the worst conditions. Well done men!
