Seems like a case of R1 listening to PD SOD.

from the audio archives:

R1: we’re 10-84 at 92 and Central Park for a person in the water.

MD: 10-4 we’re putting out the box now

R1: 10-4, we’ll be 10-84 and out of the rig

From the FDNY Facebook page:

“We arrived on scene and found NYPD Emergency Service Units initiating a water rescue of an individual in the water. FDNY Rescue 1 deployed a rescue swimmer to assist the NYPD rescue swimmer. Our Tactical Support Unit was able to deploy a boat to supplement the rescue swimmers. Both FDNY and NYPD units worked cohesively together to bring this individual to safety. The individual was transported by EMS for evaluation to a local hospital,” said FDNY Battalion Chief James Grosso on today’s water rescue at the Central Park Reservoir in Manhattan.
