BC52/19: Fire in junkyard. Using 3&2, setting up a 3.5 line for a TL.

BX transmits the AH, SQ41 getting a ticket. Rescue 3 responding.

Deck pipe in my day...replaced by the portable multiversal with the late 1950s Mack C models. (See capttomo's new post in General Discussion for better info.)
Deck pipes were originally mounted on hose wagons and carried the common name of fireboat monitors.

On the newer engines is the pipe fixed or can it be removed and positioned anywhere on the scene?

It would seem to me that if it is fixed on the apparatus, it is a Deck Pipe. If it is removable, then it could be called a multiversal or a stang (remember, however that Stang was a manufacturer of a portable "deck pipe").
